Our client, an organization that operates adapted and public transit services in its region, is looking for a Mechanic to carry out minibus maintenance and help coordinate fleet and facility maintenance needs. Tasks

  • Perform mechanical diagnostics and carry out repairs on fleet minibuses.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance: oil changes, tire replacements, braking systems, lighting, windshield wipers.
  • Respond to emergency mechanical breakdowns and prioritize interventions based on operational needs.
  • Transport vehicles to external garages for inspections, maintenance, or specialized repairs.
  • Install and remove advertising visuals on vehicles.
  • Maintain exterior grounds and yard areas (monitoring condition and performing basic upkeep).
  • Conduct building maintenance inspections and perform minor required repairs.
  • Handle hazardous materials (WHMIS) in compliance with OHS standards and applicable regulations.
  • Contribute to general maintenance operations and fleet management.
  • Any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • DEP in automotive mechanics or heavy vehicle mechanics.
  • Valid mechanical certification card.
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 5) for vehicle movements.
  • Knowledge of electronic diagnostics and onboard systems, an asset.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools (OBD-II / automotive scanner) to identify issues.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards in a mechanical environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Strong command of French, spoken and written.
