Are you looking to make a tangible contribution to a variety of technical projects within a rapidly evolving manufacturing environment? Our client, a well established company in the Saint Jérôme region, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer ready to play a key role between design and production.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical design as well as preparing detailed drawings for production. You will actively participate in technical project execution and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal methods and processes.
Tasks
Design and model equipment and tooling in 3D for manufacturing.
Produce all required technical drawings for the workshop.
Develop welded assemblies and formed components (bending, rolling).
Work closely with the production team to ensure feasibility and efficiency of concepts.
Participate in testing, adjustments, and improvements throughout each project.
Coordinate certain aspects related to purchasing, subcontracting, and project progress tracking.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes.
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant design experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in 3D design software, particularly SolidWorks and CATIA.
Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and workshop realities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities.
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec (mandatory).
Knowledge of welding standards and practices (an asset).
