Tasks

  • Perform necropsies on various animal species.
  • Participate in study preparation (protocols, planning, documentation).
  • Plan and coordinate departmental activities, including technicians’ schedules.
  • Provide training and technical support to the team.
  • Ensure data quality, compliance, and traceability.
  • Perform or supervise equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of practices and the development of new methods.
  • Write or review internal procedures (MON).
  • Ensure compliance with GLP standards and established protocols.
  • Participate in all other activities related to departmental operations.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • DEC in Animal Health (TSA) or equivalent training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience, including performing necropsies in a GLP environment.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory standards and good practices.
  • Bilingual required (French and intermediate English) — approximately 30% of time communicating with English-speaking clients.
  • Leadership skills and ability to coordinate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Precision, attention to detail, and autonomy.
