Our client, a leading distributor of industrial paint products and tools, is looking for an Operations and Accounting Assistant to oversee the administrative and accounting processes that ensure the smooth running of the business.

Tasks
Manage accounts payable and perform bank reconciliations.
Execute and oversee the full accounting cycle.
Supervise accounts receivable.
Review and improve accounting procedures to optimize efficiency.
Enter and organize data in Fidélio and other internal systems.
Correct pricing, adjust rates, and ensure accuracy of administrative information.
Support management in the preparation of reports and strategic documents.
Monitor cash flow and contribute to daily operational management.
Control access and ensure facility security.
Gradually take on responsibilities in accounting and organizational restructuring.
Perform any other related tasks as needed.

Job requirements
Hold a diploma in accounting, administration, or a related field (DEC or equivalent).
5 to 10 years of experience in accounting and administration, ideally as a right-hand to management in a SME or supporting executive operations.
Experience managing multiple entities and coordinating financial and operational processes.
Strong accounting skills: accounts payable and receivable, payroll, GST/QST, tax filings, and bank reconciliations.
Fluent in French and advanced English to support operations in Western Canada.
Proficient in MS Office, Fidélio (asset), and accounting software.
