As part of its expansion in Quebec, the organization is seeking an experienced manager to oversee operations and ensure full regulatory compliance.
Tasks
Compliance and Safety Management: Oversee the HVOO program, lead safety meetings in Montreal and Quebec City, manage incidents, and serve as the company representative with regulatory authorities regarding occupational health and safety.
Operational Leadership and Onboarding: Implement the SSAP process across Quebec, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and coordinate the onboarding, integration, and training (CarriersEdge) of independent contractors and drivers.
Relationship and Facility Management: Ensure the efficient operation of the Montreal and Quebec facilities, maintain strong relationships with customers and drivers, and collaborate with Ontario-based teams to adapt processes to Quebec legislation.
Recruitment: Participate in driver recruitment activities as required.
Support: Perform other related duties as needed.

Job requirements
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the trucking and transportation industry, including significant leadership and management experience.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Quebec transportation compliance requirements, including HVOO, OHS regulations, and Hours of Service legislation.
Education and Technical Skills: College diploma (DEC/AEC) or university degree in a related field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and recruitment software such as JazzHR.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Bilingualism: Advanced English is required. The successful candidate will communicate in English approximately 80% of the time with clients, employees, and senior management based in Ontario.
