Tasks

  • Oversee the daily operations of the parts department and ensure its efficient functioning.
  • Identify, source, order, and price parts for heavy equipment.
  • Provide support to mechanics, service teams, and customers to effectively meet their needs.
  • Manage inventory, maintain optimal parts availability, and monitor orders.
  • Coordinate urgent requests to minimize operational downtime.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Participate in improving departmental processes and controlling costs.
  • Deliver professional customer service and contribute to customer satisfaction.

Job requirements

  • Relevant experience in a parts clerk position, preferably within the heavy equipment, machinery, or industrial vehicle industry.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical parts and heavy equipment components.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic parts catalogs.
  • Experience with inventory management software or computer systems related to parts management.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and order-tracking skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with service and maintenance teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, resourcefulness, and professionalism.
