Tasks

  • Optimize layouts for automated cutting machines (Lectra, Eastman, Zund).
  • Carefully upholster seats, sofas, and cushions.
  • Sew fabrics while adhering to quality standards and aesthetic expectations.
  • Prepare and structure bill of materials to facilitate manufacturing stages.
  • Adapt patterns by considering the specifics of materials and stretching parameters for optimal results.
  • Contribute to the improvement of existing products by suggesting adjustments and refinements.
  • Research and experiment with new manufacturing techniques to maintain a creative and technological edge.
  • Actively collaborate on various tasks necessary for the smooth operation of the team and operations.

Job requirements

  • Strong experience in pattern making, with excellent attention to detail and precision.
  • Proficiency in pattern design software such as Optitex, Lectra, or other similar tools.
  • Experience in the furniture industry is a significant asset.
  • DEC in fashion production or a related field (asset).
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or other technical drawing software is a plus.

  • A keen eye for aesthetics and visual assembly of products.
  • Creativity and the ability to suggest new ideas to improve existing designs.
  • A strong sense of form and color, essential for creating cohesive and aesthetically pleasing designs.
