Our client, a company that has been recognized for nearly 40 years, is seeking a Production Director to oversee the overall performance of its plant.
Reporting to senior management, you will play a strategic role in operations management, team engagement, and performance optimization. You will also participate in a major expansion and relocation project to a new facility, offering a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the evolution of operations and the company's production ramp-up.

Tasks
Lead and oversee all production activities to ensure safe, efficient, compliant, and results-driven operations.
Motivate, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and production teams.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, operational discipline, and high performance.
Ensure objectives are achieved according to SQDCP metrics: safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
Optimize production capacity, resource utilization, equipment, and operational workflows to improve efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
Collaborate closely with planning, quality, engineering, maintenance, procurement, customer service, and program management teams.
Ensure compliance with special process requirements, NADCAP and AS9100 standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in internal audits, customer audits, and accreditation body audits.
Implement and monitor corrective actions related to production activities.
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, structured problem-solving, and visual management principles.
Monitor key performance indicators, analyze gaps, and implement corrective measures.
Ensure operating budgets are respected, costs are controlled, and resources are used efficiently.
Collaborate with the Health, Safety, and Environment team to maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace.
Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements
University degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing management experience, including several years in a leadership role.
Significant experience in the aerospace sector, ideally in the manufacturing or processing of aerospace components.
Experience with special processes and surface treatments is considered a major asset.
