A manufacturing company in the Portneuf region that specializes in wood components for the construction industry is looking for new team members to join its day and evening production crews. On a typical shift, you will work with wood, take measurements, assemble various components and learn how to operate the plant’s tools and machinery.
Some of your coworkers know the trade inside and out, while others are still filling their toolboxes. Whether you bring hands-on experience or a strong desire to learn, you will find a team ready to build alongside you.
Tasks
Reading production drawings and taking measurements with a tape measure
Preparing, measuring, marking and positioning wood pieces for production
Assembling prefabricated walls, floor systems, joists and roof trusses
Cutting, sawing, sorting and stacking wood components based on production needs
Feeding production lines and supplying workstations with materials
Handling, moving and stacking raw materials and finished products
Checking the dimensions, assembly and quality of finished components
Identifying and reporting manufacturing defects or non-compliant materials
Keeping the work area clean, organized and safe
Following quality standards and occupational health and safety procedures
Working with other production labourers and machine operators to meet production targets
Performing any other related duties

Interest in construction and woodworking
Comfortable performing physical work and handling materials
Ability to stand throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail and accurate measurements

Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
Comfortable working as part of a production team
Ability to follow work procedures and occupational health and safety requirements
Experience in construction, wood assembly or a manufacturing environment is an asset
