Our client, a manufacturing company recognized for the design, production, and distribution of custom architectural solutions and located on Montreal’s South Shore, is seeking a candidate to support the Production Planner. The successful candidate will ensure the transfer of information between internal stakeholders and the manufacturing team, while also overseeing the procurement of finishing materials required for each project. This person will work closely with Project Coordinators to meet delivery deadlines, provide high-quality service, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Tasks
Plan production schedules based on material receipts, production lead times, and delivery dates.
Review and validate project-specific information once production orders are received.
Confirm shipment dates for rails and panels with Project Coordinators.
Collaborate with the Plant Supervisor to improve productivity by planning the production sequence of projects and ensuring smooth workflow across all departments.
Participate in production planning activities with the existing team.
Purchase standard and specialty finishes (vinyl, etc.) and update inventory records on a weekly basis.
Ensure all required components are in stock before launching a project into production.
Follow up on specialty and standard finish orders and manage claims related to non-conforming products with suppliers.
Work with the Buyer to purchase standard components.
Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements
Education in logistics, administration, operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Vizco (an asset).
Functional bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written) required to communicate with English-speaking suppliers 100% of the time.
