Monday to Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Full-time (39 hours per week).

Our client, located on Île d'Orléans, is seeking a Public Works Attendant to help maintain and ensure the proper operation of municipal infrastructure. This position will allow you to contribute to a wide variety of projects while working in a stimulating and friendly environment.

Tasks

  • Perform maintenance and minor repairs on buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Carry out various tasks related to municipal infrastructure, including waterworks, roadways, and wastewater systems.
  • Participate in snow removal operations and the maintenance of public spaces.
  • Perform landscaping duties and ensure the cleanliness of municipal facilities.
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of seasonal equipment.
  • Regularly inspect municipal facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Safely operate tools and work equipment.
  • Perform any other related duties associated with daily operations.

Job requirements

  • High School Diploma (DES) or equivalent education.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
  • Relevant experience in manual labour, maintenance, or public works.
  • Certifications in water treatment or occupational health and safety (an asset).
  • Ability to safely use various tools and work equipment.
