Would you like to play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety? We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee activities related to quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within a food manufacturing organization. You will serve as a key resource for operational teams, ensuring product excellence and compliance with all applicable standards.

Tasks

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the quality team to achieve established objectives.
  • Plan daily priorities and ensure the efficient allocation of quality control activities.
  • Ensure the implementation, continuous improvement, and maintenance of quality management programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and recognized food safety standards.
  • Supervise validations, inspections, and verifications conducted throughout the production process.
  • Review and approve quality-related documents, reports, and records.
  • Coordinate the management of quality deviations, investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
  • Manage customer complaint files and ensure appropriate follow-up on action plans.
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of internal, external, and certification audits.
  • Collaborate with various departments to effectively resolve quality-related issues.
  • Implement initiatives aimed at optimizing processes, food safety, and operational performance.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform any other duties related to the position.

Job requirements

  • University degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Previous team supervision experience.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing audits and monitoring corrective actions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingualism in French and English to communicate effectively with English-speaking clients (approximately 50% of the time).
