Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about accounting? We have a full-time, permanent opportunity for you within a professional and dynamic team! Our client, an accounting firm established on Montreal’s South Shore, is currently seeking a QuickBooks Specialist to support its growth and assist its diverse client base.

Tasks

  • Perform complete bookkeeping using QuickBooks (online and/or desktop versions).
  • Perform bank reconciliations and prepare trial balances.
  • Prepare and adjust financial reports based on client needs.
  • Prepare and manage sales tax returns (GST and QST).
  • Make corrections to accounting entries and update client files.
  • Support clients remotely via Teams (screen sharing and real-time assistance).
  • Provide occasional on-site support at client locations, as required.
  • Travel to client sites while following company policies.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • DEC or DEP in Accounting.
  • Excellent proficiency in QuickBooks (essential).
  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Working knowledge of Sage 50.
  • Good understanding of the full accounting cycle.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, accounting platforms).
  • Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
  • Functional English (communication with English-speaking clients approximately 10% of the time).
