Our client, a company operating in the mining sector, is looking for an experienced, organized and collaborative professional to join its team as a Senior Human Resources Advisor at the Kiena Mine.

Tasks

  • Supporting managers with their day-to-day human resources matters;
  • Managing recruitment activities, from job postings to welcoming new employees;
  • Taking part in initiatives designed to attract, integrate and engage talent;
  • Assisting supervisors with the application of internal policies, HR best practices and legal obligations;
  • Handling employee relations files, disciplinary matters, internal investigations and conflict resolution;
  • Contributing to performance review processes, skills development and succession planning;
  • Following up on employee administration matters, including vacation, overtime, benefits and CNESST files;
  • Participating in various HR projects, tracking reports, organizational initiatives and activities that support a positive work environment;
  • Providing guidance, when required, to students or interns within the HR department;
  • Performing any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • Be available to work in Val d’Or;
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, business administration or a related field;
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in human resources, ideally in a senior advisory role and in recruitment;
  • Have good knowledge of Quebec labour laws;
  • Be a member of the CRHA or CRIA, an asset;
  • Be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Knowledge of ADP, an asset;
  • Demonstrate strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Show autonomy, rigour and good priority management skills.
