Our client, a manufacturing company specializing in laser cutting and sheet metal fabrication, is looking to add a Senior Laser/CNC Machine Operator to its team in Baie-D’Urfé.
The ideal candidate is recognized for their autonomy, precision, and ability to set up, operate, and optimize a combined laser/punch CNC machine in a structured production environment.
Tasks
Operate a CNC laser/punch machine according to drawings, work orders, and production priorities;
Verify materials, thicknesses, dimensions, grain direction, CNC programs, and required tooling before production begins;
Install punches, dies, nozzles, lenses, and other components required for laser cutting and punching operations;
Monitor production cycles, correct routine issues, and intervene when a situation may affect safety or part quality;
Inspect first-off parts and perform dimensional checks using appropriate measuring instruments;
Identify, sort, and route completed parts to the next stages of production while separating scrap and reusable remnants;
Support programmers and less experienced operators by sharing technical observations and best practices;
Complete production documentation, report quantities produced, and perform other related duties as required.

Job requirements
Minimum of five years of experience as a CNC laser machine operator or CNC punch press operator;
Ability to independently perform setups and tooling changes;
Comfortable reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints;
Good knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, common materials, and both imperial and metric measurements;
Comfortable working with both imperial and metric systems.
