As a Senior R&D Manager, you will lead strategic projects, supervise a talented team, and contribute to every stage, from ideation to production. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial in ensuring quality, performance, and compliance, while fostering a collaborative environment where innovation and creativity are at the heart of our actions.
Tasks
Lead and support the R&D team, develop their skills, and define performance objectives and indicators.
Manage the R&D strategy and project portfolio, including product innovation, improvement of existing ranges, and cost optimization.
Oversee the development and reformulation of products, optimize formulations and processes to ensure performance, quality, and profitability, and ensure structured transfer to production.
Coordinate industrial trials and initial commercial productions, in collaboration with cross-functional teams (production, quality, planning).
Ensure regulatory compliance and food safety, maintain up-to-date R&D documentation, and implement standards and tools to improve efficiency.
Collaborate with suppliers, partners, and clients, and act as a point of reference for solving complex technical problems.
Identify and assess development opportunities based on market trends, customer expectations, and industrial feasibility.
Actively participate in ideation sessions and technical reviews to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements
Degree in food science, chemistry, biochemistry, food engineering, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in food R&D, product development, and industrialization at a senior level.
Strong experience in project management and team leadership.
Good knowledge of production processes and manufacturing constraints.
Mastery of food regulations and nutritional labeling (an asset).
Document management skills and ability to standardize practices and processes.
Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
