We are seeking a passionate SQF Specialist to ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of a robust SQF system, guaranteeing that production operations meet the highest standards of quality and food safety.
The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining SQF programs, HACCP plans, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as well as supporting both internal and external audit activities. They will analyze trends, participate in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, and actively contribute to fostering an exemplary food safety culture.
Tasks
Oversee the implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF system, including HACCP plans and prerequisite programs.
Maintain strengthened food safety programs, including preventive controls, allergen management, foreign material detection, food defense, and food fraud prevention.
Ensure the maintenance of quality certifications (e.g., organic, gluten-free, non-GMO, kosher) and the successful completion of regulatory inspections.
Coordinate internal, SQF, customer, and regulatory audits.
Prepare and communicate audit reports to stakeholders.
Identify root causes of non conformities and customer complaints, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Participate in technical discussions with national and international clients.
Plan and monitor microbiological and physico-chemical analyses of products and the environment.
Analyze trends, recommend preventive measures, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Participate in management reviews related to quality performance (KPIs, objectives, trends).
Develop and deliver SQF, HACCP, and high risk food training.
Raise awareness and train employees to support a strong food safety culture.
Perform all other related duties.

Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, food technology, food engineering, or a related field.
3 to 7+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance and food safety within the manufacturing sector.
SQF Practitioner certification or equivalent experience in managing an SQF system.
Strong training or experience in HACCP, GMP, quality audits, and food safety.
Proven experience managing SQF systems, conducting internal and external audits, CAPA processes, trend analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
Experience collaborating with national and international clients, particularly in high risk environments (e.g., ready to eat foods, baby food).
Advanced proficiency in English (to draft documents and conduct daily communication approximately 50% of the time).
