Do you have experience providing technical support in the food industry? Are you proficient with office tools, detail-oriented, and enjoy collaborating on innovation projects?
We are currently hiring a Technical Assistant to support a company specialized in food products. This open-ended temporary mandate offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to new product development, testing, and the monitoring of quality and compliance processes.
Tasks
Participate in the evaluation of new products (prototypes and competitors).
Conduct physico-chemical and sensory tests.
Compile test results, analyze data, and follow up with external laboratories.
Manage document and sample requests from suppliers.
Maintain up-to-date quality records, internal specifications, and compliance tables.
Update nutritional values using specialized software (Genesis or equivalent).
Verify supplier certificates of analysis and report any discrepancies.
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
Diploma in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field (DEC, AEC, DEP).
1 to 2 years of experience in the food industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Intermediate bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate with suppliers based in the United States.
Knowledge of Canadian and/or U.S. food regulations (an asset).
Familiarity with Genesis software or equivalent (an asset).
