This role is primarily focused on coordinating international logistics flows and managing customer orders, ensuring customs compliance and on-time delivery. A leader in its field, our client is seeking a Transport and Customs Coordinator to join its dynamic team. Tasks

  • Coordinate inbound logistics flows and raw materials from overseas to the U.S. and Canada.
  • Monitor maritime shipments: schedule appointments and update internal systems.
  • Verify compliance between orders, commercial invoices, and transport documents (BOL).
  • Select freight forwarders to optimize costs and service.
  • Prepare and provide all required customs documentation.
  • Manage direct-ship customer orders: entry, production follow-up, and shipment organization.
  • Issue and review documents required for customs clearance (certificates, invoices, etc.).
  • Update internal systems and customer platforms.
  • Track deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • Solid experience in international logistics coordination and shipment management.
  • Strong understanding of import/export processes and customs regulations (Canada/U.S.).
  • Bilingual (French and English) to interact with international partners.
  • Excellent communication skills with various stakeholders (suppliers, freight forwarders, clients).
  • Proficiency with IT tools and ERP systems (an asset).
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade practices.
  • Ability to quickly analyze and resolve transport and compliance issues.
