As a result of continued growth, our client is seeking a Versatile Cabinetmaker to join its expanding team. The selected candidate will primarily contribute to the fabrication, assembly, and installation of cabinetry and various interior vehicle components. They may also assist with a variety of production tasks based on daily priorities. This position is ideal for a hands-on, resourceful individual who is interested in progressively developing their technical skills.

Tasks

  • Participate in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of cabinetry, storage units, and various vehicle interior components.
  • Perform cutting, drilling, fastening, and fitting tasks using hand and power tools.
  • Complete basic equipment adjustments and ensure safe operation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Take measurements and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper positioning and alignment of components.
  • Prepare surfaces and apply various finishing, sealing, or fastening products according to established methods.
  • Install accessories and various components required for vehicle interior outfitting.
  • Operate CNC and conventional machinery to cut, machine, or shape parts required for production.
  • Support the technical team with basic tasks related to plumbing, electrical systems, and vehicle equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic checks to identify defects or irregularities.
  • Correct imperfections and perform necessary touch-ups before the next production stages.
  • Thoroughly clean surfaces, components, and work areas.
  • Assist with material handling and the movement of parts required for production.
  • Collaborate with production, installation, finishing, and service teams as required.
  • Maintain tools, machinery, equipment, and production areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow established work methods as well as health and safety regulations.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • Vocational or college education (DEP, AEC, DEC or equivalent) in cabinetmaking, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a cabinetmaker.
  • Interest in and ability to learn the operation of various production equipment.
  • Ability to safely use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to take measurements and follow plans, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Good physical condition, including the ability to handle materials and work in various positions, including standing, seated, or lying down.
  • Knowledge of installation, plumbing, or electrical work is considered an asset.
  • Experience operating CNC or conventional machinery is considered an asset.
