Tasks

  • Interpret plans and instructions related to welding work;
  • Verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specifications prior to assembly;
  • Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning and polishing them when necessary;
  • Organize the assembly sequence of components according to project requirements;
  • Position and secure parts using various tools such as bolts, clamps, or tack welds;
  • Select and adjust welding equipment, including gas-powered systems;
  • Perform welds, then carry out brushing, grinding, and polishing of welded areas;
  • Inspect weld quality, verify penetration, and make necessary adjustments;
  • Strictly adhere to health and safety standards in the workplace;
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment;
  • Participate in various related tasks as needed by the team.

Job requirements

  • Relevant training (DEP) or solid experience in welding;
  • Ability to read technical drawings and understand assembly processes;
  • Experience in an industrial environment is considered an asset;
  • Comfortable wearing the required personal protective equipment for the role.
