Reporting directly to the General Manager and supported by a small team, the Financial Controller will play a key role within this well-established and growing multi-division construction services company, a leader in its industrial market.
More than just a numbers expert, you will act as a strategic advisor, ensuring the management, control, and integrity of financial operations while providing analyses and recommendations that support decision-making. Tasks
1. Financial and Accounting Management
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and prepare financial statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee and coordinate payroll processing in collaboration with the external provider.
Ensure compliance with government remittances and tax obligations.
Maintain relationships with financial institutions, external auditors, and other professional partners.
Coordinate annual audit files and external information requests.
2. Budgeting and Financial Analysis
Coordinate the annual budgeting and financial planning process.
Analyze financial results and explain variances against forecasts.
Conduct profitability, cost, and operational performance analyses.
Recommend measures to improve productivity and company profitability.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Provide financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Present financial results and recommendations to management.
3. Continuous Improvement
Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to financial processes and controls.
Participate in the enhancement of IT tools and systems.

Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation (strong asset).
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of accounting experience.
Experience supervising a team.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
Ability to simplify financial information and act as a business partner.
