Our client, a well-established, reputable, and growing family-owned company in the road transportation industry, is currently seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee its operations.
Reporting directly to senior management, the successful candidate will provide overall leadership for the management, maintenance, and continuous optimization of the company's entire vehicle fleet.
Tasks
Lead the strategic management and maintenance of the vehicle fleet, including maintenance tracking, equipment replacement, and asset allocation.
Ensure strict compliance with legal requirements, road safety regulations (SAAQ, PEP), and internal policies.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain rigorous monitoring of operational results.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities to optimize logistics processes and reduce operating costs.
Manage and coordinate the resolution of unforeseen situations and field emergencies, including breakdowns, accidents, and logistical delays.
Maintain strong alignment and effective communication with internal departments, including Operations, Customer Service, and Human Resources.
Perform all other related duties.

Job requirements
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role involving team and fleet/truck management.
Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework governing road transportation in Quebec.
Diploma or relevant training in heavy vehicle mechanics, management, or business administration considered an asset.
Strong leadership skills, ability to react quickly, and excellent organizational abilities.
Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable using transportation management technologies (TMS software, Microsoft Office, and Excel).
