Reporting to the President, the General Manager will oversee operations, structure the organization, and align teams. The role will act as a hands on operational leader to optimize performance and support sustained growth.
Tasks
Leadership and Overall Management
Ensure full oversight of operations across all business units.
Supervise and mobilize the management teams (plants, transportation, sales, finance).
Establish an efficient and sustainable organizational structure.
Operations and Performance
Optimize production and processing operations.
Implement performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure proper monitoring.
Oversee the supply chain, logistics, and transportation operations.
Ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
Business Development and Growth
Identify and implement growth opportunities (products, markets, processing).
Participate in business development initiatives and support the sales function.
Contribute to business diversification and innovation.
Financial Management
Participate in budget planning and financial monitoring.
Analyze performance results and implement corrective actions as needed.
Culture and Human Resources
Lead, develop, and support the growth of internal teams.
Maintain a strong company culture focused on collaboration and talent development.
Support managers in developing their leadership and management skills.
Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements
Significant experience in operations management (manufacturing or agri food environment).
Experience managing multi site or multi unit operations.
Ability to structure a fast growing or lightly formalized environment.
Hands on, motivating leadership style.
Strong organizational and process optimization skills.
Solid understanding of commercial and business challenges.
Strategic mindset combined with strong execution capabilities.
Relevant university degree (business administration, engineering, agri food, etc.); an MBA is an asset.
Intermediate proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate with other provinces and the United States approximately 50% of the time.
