The Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing the execution of planned maintenance activities while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, and optimizing costs. The objective is to maximize equipment availability and ensure long-term reliability.
Tasks
Ensure a safe work environment and enforce health and safety policies.
Plan and supervise mechanical maintenance activities according to the weekly schedule.
Assign and oversee the work of industrial mechanics and contractors.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with legal requirements and internal policies.
Respond promptly to unexpected breakdowns and coordinate repairs.
Monitor and control costs, labor hours, and materials used.
Maintain accurate equipment history records in the maintenance management system (SAP).
Support team training and development, including mentoring apprentices.
Work closely with production teams to ensure job site quality and cleanliness.
Prepare weekly budget reports and contribute to achieving departmental objectives.
Perform any other duties related to the position.

Job requirements
Diploma in Industrial Mechanics (DEP), Mechanical Engineering Technology (DEC), or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance supervision.
Proficiency with computer tools (Microsoft Office suite) and SAP systems.
Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance.
Experience with heavy equipment repair and major shutdown management.
Proven leadership skills and knowledge of labor laws.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
