Our client is a Canadian family-owned company with more than 50 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and process control. Alongside designing and manufacturing its own products, it distributes instrumentation lines from major international manufacturers. Its Quebec office, located in the Montreal area, accounts for a significant share of the company's national sales.
As head of the Quebec office, you lead a team of inside and outside technical sales representatives and drive the growth of the region. You support your reps on both the technical and commercial side, recruit and develop your team, and keep the office running smoothly. Tasks
Lead the Quebec office and oversee its day-to-day operations.
Manage, motivate and provide technical and sales support to the inside and outside sales team.
Recruit, onboard and help train new members of the sales team.
Initially cover a territory spanning the Western region of Montreal, Montérégie and the Eastern Townships, reconnecting with existing clients and developing new accounts.
Assess industrial clients' technical needs and recommend the right instrumentation and control solutions, with support from the inside team and partner manufacturers.
Set and track sales budgets by territory, along with open quotes and opportunities.
Work with head office in Ontario (production, purchasing, accounting) for particular situations and/or problem solving.
Report to the National Sales Manager, also based in Montreal.
Strengthen and grow the company's Quebec client base.

Job requirements
Experience in B2B technical sales, inside or outside (essential).
Experience in instrumentation and process control (strong asset), or in a related industrial sector with instrumentation exposure: mining, pulp and paper, industrial electrical, etc.
Degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial or instrumentation engineering or technology (asset).
Experience managing or coaching a sales team (asset); candidates ready to step into their first leadership role will be considered.
Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, in order to communicate with teams in other provinces (approximately 30% of the time).
Ability to understand clients' technical needs and earn the trust of engineers and technicians.
Curious, self-directed and eager to learn.
