Our client, a fast-growing Quebec-based company specializing in Odoo ERP integration, is looking for a Systems and Infrastructure Administrator to oversee the stability and evolution of its technology environments.
The role involves ensuring the availability, performance, and continuous improvement of IT environments in collaboration with operations, development, and architecture teams. The selected candidate will be responsible for the entire infrastructure ecosystem, both internal and external, with a strong focus on stability, security, and scalability in a role centered on systems administration rather than end-user support.
Responsibilities include configuring equipment, administering servers and environments, managing backups, restoring services in the event of incidents, and analyzing current and future technical needs.
Tasks
Administer and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, databases, and network security.
Manage and maintain Linux environments, including Odoo servers.
Install, configure, and maintain IT systems and hardware.
Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of IT environments.
Implement and oversee backup and data recovery processes.
Monitor systems and respond to critical incidents.
Ensure business continuity and infrastructure recovery.
Manage identities, access controls, and security permissions.
Ensure information security and data protection through cybersecurity best practices.
Analyze incidents, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
Contribute to the evolution and optimization of system architecture.
Manage system updates, security patches, and version control.
Deploy and maintain IT security solutions.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery procedures (DRP).
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Administration, or a related field.
5 to 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and information technology.
Experience administering Linux environments, including nginx, Proxmox, and PostgreSQL.
Strong knowledge of networking environments, including Wi-Fi, LAN, VLAN, and VPN.
Experience with cloud services and automation tools such as AWS, Ansible, SaltStack, and Prometheus.
Expertise in PostgreSQL database optimization.
Experience with data backup solutions and backup tools such as Commvault is considered an asset.
Knowledge of virtualized environments including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS is considered an asset.
Experience integrating ERP solutions is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Odoo software is considered an asset.
Fluency in French and functional English, both spoken and written, to support English-speaking clients and vendors across Canada (50% of the time).
