As part of its growth, the company is seeking an Accounting and Administration Technician to support its financial, administrative, and HR activities. Tasks

  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including receiving, validating, and entering invoices, as well as preparing payments.
  • Assist with bookkeeping and the monitoring of the company’s accounting operations.
  • Reconcile Mastercard statements and monitor employee expenses.
  • Enter payroll hours into Nethris and perform related payroll administration tasks.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and administrative matters.
  • Coordinate the administrative onboarding of new employees and maintain employee files.
  • Monitor employee certifications, training, and compliance requirements (CCQ, WHMIS, etc.).
  • Assist with HR administration, including CNESST files, Records of Employment, and employment verification letters.
  • Maintain and update project files and prepare compliance-related documentation.
  • Keep records up to date for equipment, vehicles, and new machinery while providing administrative support to management and operations.

Job requirements

  • DEP, AEC, or DEC in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a role involving accounting responsibilities.
  • Experience with accounts payable management and bookkeeping.
  • Payroll-related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of Nethris and Sage 50 is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry, CCQ payroll, or compliance requirements is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
  • Versatility, autonomy, and strong attention to detail.
  • Functional bilingualism required to serve a client base composed of approximately 20% English-speaking customers.
