Our client, a well-established company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking an Accounting Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient. They will play an active role in managing accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of the company’s financial data.

Tasks

  • Managing the full accounting cycle (accounts payable and accounts receivable);
  • Performing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations;
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with balance sheet analysis and the preparation of monthly financial statements;
  • Collaborating with various departments on daily operations;
  • Participating in the year-end audit process with external auditors;
  • Ensuring compliance with tax obligations;
  • Contributing to various internal projects;
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment;
  • Performing any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • DEC in Accounting, Administration, or any related field (AEC or equivalent);
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing SME (asset);
  • Knowledge of an ERP system (asset);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
  • Excellent command of French (spoken and written);
  • Good command of English (level 7/10) – communication with clients outside Quebec;
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills;
  • Good analytical skills and judgment;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Team spirit and leadership.
