Our client, a manufacturing company in the steel industry, is looking for a CNC operator for the evening shift to join their team.
Tasks
Perform cutting, drilling, or coping operations depending on the equipment used.
Adjust machines and regularly check quality using precise measurements.
Organize and identify production parts in your workspace.
Mark required material (profiles, dimensions, IDs, programs, divisions, etc.).
Monitor production progress and record updates in internal systems.
Maximize material use by optimizing part cutting.
Visually inspect materials, tools, and equipment; report any anomalies and prevent damage.
Strictly follow quality procedures and manufacturing standards.
Carry out daily machine maintenance according to guidelines.
Safely handle loads over 50 lbs using lifting equipment.
Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements
Vocational training in welding and fitting or machining (DEP required).
A minimum of 2,000 hours of hands-on experience in the field, gained in school or at work.
Experience assembling metal structures is considered an asset.
Strong understanding of technical drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of both imperial and metric measurement systems.
Proficiency with tools and equipment such as welders, grinders, torches, cutting torches, overhead cranes, lifting, rigging, and stacking tools.
Fluency in spoken and written French; knowledge of English is an asset.
