Our client is looking for individuals with experience in electrical work who wish to transition into an estimator role, as well as those with experience in estimation in other fields but who have worked in the electrical industry. The company offers flexible working hours (e.g., start earlier to finish earlier, or vice versa), as well as the possibility of remote work after the training period.
Tasks
Manage the complete estimation process (document reception, plans and specifications analysis, bid preparation, and file transfer).
Actively search for relevant projects to submit bids for.
Collaborate with project managers on change orders and extra work.
Analyze actual costs versus the initial estimate at the end of projects.
Visit job sites as needed, negotiate with suppliers, and estimate labor costs.
Read and interpret plans and specifications to provide accurate cost assessments.
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
DEC in estimation, electrical engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Valid driver's license.
Excellent ability to read plans and specifications.
Proficiency in office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, project management software).
Strong knowledge of the electrical sector.
Bilingualism is an asset.
