As part of their operations in Sainte-Adèle, our client is seeking a Mechanical-Welding Foreman. Reporting to the site manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for supervising maintenance and fabrication activities, as well as coordinating unionized teams and subcontractors. This role is key to ensuring equipment reliability and operational safety.
Tasks
Plan, supervise, and verify maintenance and fabrication tasks carried out by unionized employees.
Assess and coordinate plant and mobile equipment maintenance activities.
Diagnose issues and perform first-level repairs.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, keeping technical documentation up to date.
Carry out welding work: assembly, repair, and fabrication of parts (a CWB certification is an asset).
Oversee the quality of work performed and report to management.
Organize and lead daily and monthly safety meetings.
Manage service calls and coordinate with subcontractors.
Monitor maintenance costs and adhere to the established budget.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of equipment reliability and life cycle.
Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements
College diploma in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or equivalent).
5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role (or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of mechanics, welding, and industrial maintenance.
Experience in the concrete, aggregates, or cement sectors (an asset).
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Positive leadership and ability to motivate a team.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
