Tasks

  • Design weekly menus aligned with the restaurant’s identity
  • Lead, train, and support the kitchen team
  • Participate in staff performance evaluations
  • Manage inventory, orders, and food waste
  • Ensure strict compliance with hygiene and food safety standards
  • Improve work methods to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Supervise and actively collaborate during service
  • Use tools to calculate food costs
  • Update and enhance recipes in internal systems
  • Collaborate with ownership on menu development
  • Perform any other related duties associated with the position

Job requirements

  • Culinary diploma or equivalent experience
  • Strong mastery of cooking techniques, doneness control, and artistic plating
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team, even during high-pressure periods
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of the Octogone system
  • French required; intermediate English needed to communicate with English-speaking customers (approximately 25% of the time)
