Our client is in need of a dynamic, positive, and energetic individual with some mechanical aptitude. This large national company operating in both the US and Canada is currently looking to train and groom the next experienced Plant Manager to lead and coordinate the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This key leadership role encompasses oversight of production, maintenance, quality assurance, safety, logistics, and customer service.
The Plant Manager is responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing activities are executed efficiently and consistently, aligning with productivity targets while upholding high standards of safety and product quality. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.
Tasks
Oversee all plant operations and personnel to meet production, quality, and safety objectives.
Optimize processes and resources through scheduling, workforce planning, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Track KPIs, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency.
Lead staffing, training, and development efforts to promote a culture of accountability and improvement.
Manage plant budgets, capital projects, and resource allocation.
Communicate regularly with senior leadership on plant performance and strategic priorities.
Carry out other related tasks.

Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or related field (MBA/Master’s a plus).
7+ years in manufacturing, including 3+ in a leadership role.
Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and team management.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Proficient in ERP and planning tools.
Background in packaging and/or extrusion preferred.
