“There is intentions to transition this role from Plant Manager to VP, Operations in the New Year (March 2024)” Do you consider yourself a strong leader capable of leading and motivating a team? You are an experienced, plant manager coming from the manufacturing or metal fabrication industry? You are a person with at least 5 years of management experience who knows how to make decisions and have a strong sense of urgency? If you feel this describes you, then we want to hear from you! Our client is a leader in the manufacturing of various insulation and specialized products for both the Canadian and American market and manufacturers of equipment for public transit.


  • Plan, organize, direct, and ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly in three different sites.
  • Manage personnel and divisions to ensure that they are meeting daily quotas and targets.
  • Manage client relationships in both Canada and the US and ensure that all orders are made on time and all the time to avoid costly production line delays.
  • Manage team, coach and mentor managers, engineers, and others to achieve common goals.
  • Make effective and sound decisions promptly and to stand by those decisions.
  • Prioritize the priorities of the day, week, and month.
  • Develop systems to optimize and effectively eliminate wastes and unproductive processes (using Kaizen principles).
  • Manage the P&L and budget of the plant.
  • Carry out all other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • Must have plant management experience.
  • Have come from a metal fabrication or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong business acumen and expertise in resource allocation and finance.
  • Must have strong grasp of the occupational health and safety rules and legislation.

Desired profile

  • Ability to lead and create solid accountabilities throughout the plants.
  • Be strong minded, and authoritative in making swift and sound business decisions.
  • Be flexible to travel between three plants in Canada and the US.
