Our client, a well-established and recognized manufacturing company specializing in high-precision production, is looking for a Project Manager, Product Development for its facility located in the Laurentians. Reporting to the Industrial Director, the selected candidate will lead several new product introduction projects, from receiving customer requirements through production launch. This person will coordinate internal teams, oversee schedules and budgets, and maintain communication with an international customer base.
Tasks
Lead new product introduction projects from launch through production implementation.
Develop project schedules, establish key milestones, and monitor progress.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and provide regular updates on project status.
Review purchase orders, including initial orders and those related to production ramp-up.
Plan and facilitate project meetings while ensuring follow-up on decisions and agreed-upon actions.
Coordinate the work of technical teams, production, procurement, and other involved departments.
Monitor budgets, costs, timelines, and key performance indicators.
Assess technical and operational risks and mobilize the resources required to resolve them.
Coordinate the implementation of changes requested by customers or required during project execution.
Ensure the availability of materials, equipment, tooling, and required parts in collaboration with suppliers and the procurement team.
Analyze production workload and capacity to anticipate manufacturing needs and plant constraints.
Prepare progress reports and clearly present variances, risks, and corrective actions.
Participate in customer meetings and site visits while coordinating the involvement of the various departments concerned.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of projects while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Perform any other related duties contributing to the successful execution of projects.

Job requirements
University degree in Engineering or a college diploma (DEC) in a relevant technical discipline.
Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Experience in project management within a manufacturing, technical, or industrial environment.
Solid understanding of production environments or machining operations.
Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Strong understanding of the technical challenges associated with new product development and production launch.
Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written, to communicate with an international clientele (approximately 30% of the time).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Project.
Comfortable working with ERP and CRM systems.
Availability for occasional travel to customer sites.
Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing sector or in new product introduction, considered an asset.
