Full-time, Monday to Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join a recognized company in the food industry. Under the supervision of the Quality Control Manager, the person in this role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, process compliance, and maintaining health and safety standards.

Tasks

  • Conduct pre-operational inspections.
  • Monitor, verify, and calibrate measuring instruments.
  • Perform various tests, including:
  • • SWAB
  • • ATP / luminotherapy
  • • Microbiology
  • • Cheese samples (finished or unfinished product)
  • Send samples to external laboratories and compile the results.
  • Ensure compliance with records and communicate any modifications.
  • Perform complete traceability exercises.
  • Develop, revise, and update the quality policy.
  • Write non-conformity reports, procedures, work instructions, and action plans.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of processes and product quality.
  • Train and raise awareness among employees on good hygiene and quality practices.
  • Participate in obtaining, monitoring, and maintaining HACCP certification.
  • Verify the quality of raw materials and monitor cleaning (sanitation) and hygiene procedures.
  • Ensure constant compliance with hygiene measures and established standards.

Job requirements

  • DEC in food processing, laboratory technology, or dietetics.
  • Experience in dairy processing (an asset).
  • Basic bilingualism (an asset).
  • Attention to detail, meticulousness, and rigor.
  • Good sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities.
  • Strong observational skills and curiosity.
  • Positive leadership and ability to influence best practices.
  • Excellent ability to learn.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of food processing techniques (cheese).
