Are you meticulous, organized, and interested in quality and food safety? Do you enjoy being on the floor, ensuring product compliance, and contributing to continuous improvement? As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in verifying the compliance of finished products and ensuring adherence to HACCP and SQF standards.
This is a permanent day shift position with a well-established company in the food sector, known for its rigorous standards and stable work environment.
Tasks
Ensuring quality presence during product start-ups and changes on production lines.
Performing pre-operational inspections when required.
Applying the finished product sampling schedule, conducting required quality tests, and ensuring equipment calibration.
Collecting samples and swabs for microbiological, chemical, allergen, environmental, water, and sanitation product analyses.
Approving washings, performing equipment inspections, and conducting pH, allergen, and RapidChek tests.
Preparing shipments to external laboratories and associated documentation.
Receiving raw materials and packaging, including evaluation tests and validation of required documents.
Sampling raw materials and performing applicable tests (e.g., gluten).
Managing retained and released products and internal labeling.
Approving packaging upon receipt and during production.
Addressing non-conformities, participating in their analysis and correction.
Collaborating on complaint management, product recalls, and traceability exercises.
Training employees and supervisors on CCPs, new instructions, and quality forms.
Participating in research and development activities, including trials and organoleptic evaluations.
Maintaining the laboratory and workspaces clean and organized.
Performing any other related tasks as required.

Competitive salary between $24 and $27 per hour, depending on experience.

Job requirements
College diploma (DEC) in Dietetics, Food Processing, or related field.
A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in quality control in the food industry.
Basic knowledge of the HACCP system.
Good proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Precision, autonomy, good observation skills, and team spirit.
