Our client, a Canadian interior design company with over 5 years of industry expertise, is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist experienced in commercial projects, ready to take the lead on the most innovative designs. You will be at the center of coordination with architects and engineers, overseeing and reviewing drawings from junior technologists, and ensuring the success of every project from concept to completion. Tasks

  • Create preliminary and final design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, managing project measurements and technical aspects.
  • Review architectural plans and technical specifications to ensure quality and compliance with building codes and standards.
  • Review and correct drawings prepared by junior technologists.
  • Collaborate with the design team to optimize project foundations.
  • Coordinate plans with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Plan technical tasks considering budgets, timelines, and project complexity.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve on-site issues.
  • Ensure the quality of installations and finishes.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates and gather feedback.
  • Present proposals and design adjustments to clients for approval.
  • Perform any other related duties as required by the position.

Job requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) in Architectural Technology.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in architecture and interior design.
  • Experience in delivering commercial, corporate, institutional, and multi-residential projects.
  • Knowledge of the Québec Building Code and other applicable standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Revit, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of MS Project is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of construction and millwork techniques.
  • Valid driver’s license for travel to client sites and construction projects.
  • Excellent spoken and written French, with intermediate English for communication with English-speaking suppliers and clients.
