Reporting directly to the Transportation Manager, this Transportation Supervisor role is an excellent opportunity to oversee staff management, evaluate route allocation, and act as a true change agent on a daily basis.
Our client, a well-established and respected company in its industry, is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee activities related to customer order coordination. Reporting directly to the Transportation Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in team management, route optimization, and maintaining an exceptional level of customer service.
Tasks
Team Management & HR: Oversee all aspects of team management, including scheduling and payroll, evaluate employee performance, and collaborate with HR regarding disciplinary matters and absenteeism.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to the collective agreement, company policies, and Health and Safety (H&S) regulations.
Route & Delivery Optimization: Evaluate and optimize route distribution, manage special deliveries, and work closely with the customer service department.
Continuous Improvement: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), act as a change champion to engage employees, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Support: Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements
Education & Experience: College diploma in transportation, logistics, management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 5 years of team management experience.
Logistics Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Quebec City and surrounding areas, excellent computer skills, and experience with distribution software.
Leadership & Soft Skills: Proven ability to motivate and influence others, adapt to change, demonstrate strong attention to detail, remain organized, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
