Our client, a well-established company in the field of transportation and distribution in Quebec, is currently looking for a passionate and experienced Transportation Supervisor and Trainer to join its dynamic team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Transportation Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day transportation operations while ensuring the training, integration and development of delivery drivers across Quebec.

Tasks
Plan, coordinate and supervise the day-to-day activities of drivers and transportation teams.
Manage daily priorities in collaboration with other departments and shifts.
Optimize routes to maximize operational efficiency.
Monitor performance indicators (productivity, punctuality, quality of service) and propose improvements.
Plan the workforce in collaboration with other supervisors.
Design, plan and facilitate training for new drivers and transportation service employees.
Assess drivers' technical and behavioural skills.
Implement continuous development programs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with road regulations and the collective agreement.
Serve as a link between management, drivers, customers, and other departments.
Resolve issues and complaints related to transportation operations.
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
College diploma or relevant experience in logistics, transportation or operations management.
Class 1 license and excellent driving record.
Master Driver Training (CFTR or CFTC).
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position, including driver training and team management in a unionized environment.
Good knowledge of laws and regulations (Bill 430, CNESST, Highway Safety Code, etc.).
Proficiency in planning tools (transportation management systems, tracking systems, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite.
Adult education skills (andragogy).
Availability to travel to the company's various sites across Quebec.
