Our partner, a well-established and growing company in the food distribution sector, is seeking a Warehouse Handler Trainer to support employee onboarding and development in an operational environment. The selected candidate will actively contribute to the quality of training, the application of best work practices, and the maintenance of a safe work environment, while working closely with supervisors and other team members. This is a key role for someone who wants to make a tangible impact on the floor and contribute to the evolution of training practices.

Tasks

  • Train new employees on the use of order picking equipment, mobile equipment, and warehouse work methods.
  • Conduct follow-ups with employees in training and make necessary adjustments to support their integration and progression.
  • Act as a reference on the warehouse floor by answering questions and supporting employees in their day-to-day development.
  • Play an active role in occupational health and safety prevention by promoting best practices.
  • Work closely with supervisors and other trainers to maintain a high standard of training quality.
  • Participate in the implementation of new training initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of existing programs.
  • Support employees in learning proper work procedures and meeting operational expectations.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • Hands-on warehouse experience, including roles such as material handler, forklift operator, or order picker, or any other relevant experience in a similar environment in Quebec.
  • Experience as a trainer in a similar environment in Quebec.
  • Flexibility and availability to work both day and evening shifts to support operational teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently in an active operational environment and lift loads of up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong interest in training, employee coaching, and skills development.
  • Positive leadership, strong teaching abilities, and ease in building strong working relationships.
  • Comfort with computer tools, technology solutions, and systems such as WMS, ERP, MRP, or CRM.
  • Active presence on the floor, with an approximate split of 80% floor / 20% office.
  • Strong command of French, both spoken and written.
