Are you detail-oriented with expert hands for shaping metal? Perfect! Our client, a well-established Quebec company based in Saint-Jérôme specializing in metal fabrication, is looking for a welder-assembler. This role is a great opportunity to showcase your welding skills and, who knows, possibly secure a permanent position!

Tasks

  • Perform welding tasks under the supervision of the welding team lead, ensuring compliance with CSA W47.1/W59 and W47.2/W59.2 standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Operate various welding processes (MIG, TIG, stick) in all positions.
  • Assemble both simple and complex parts.
  • Execute welds on high-precision components.
  • Accurately measure using both imperial and metric systems (tape measure, calipers).
  • Inspect parts to ensure conformity with plans and specifications.
  • Carry out all other production-related tasks in the workshop.

Job requirements

  • Welding diploma (DEP) or equivalent experience required.
  • 3 to 5 years of welding experience on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Proficient in GTAW (TIG) process and at least two semi-automatic processes (GMAW, FCAW, or MCAW).
  • Strong skills in blueprint reading and dimensional measurement.
  • Basic knowledge of metallurgy and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with TIG and MIG welding.
  • Familiarity with CSA W47.1/W59, W47.2/W59.2, AWS D17.1 standards; NADCAP, ISO9001, AS9100 certifications are an asset.
  • Valid CWB certification is a plus.
