Our client, a well-established Quebec company based in Saint-Jérôme specializing in metal fabrication, is looking for a welder-assembler. This role is a great opportunity to showcase your welding skills and, who knows, possibly secure a permanent position!
Tasks
Perform welding tasks under the supervision of the welding team lead, ensuring compliance with CSA W47.1/W59 and W47.2/W59.2 standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Operate various welding processes (MIG, TIG, stick) in all positions.
Assemble both simple and complex parts.
Execute welds on high-precision components.
Accurately measure using both imperial and metric systems (tape measure, calipers).
Inspect parts to ensure conformity with plans and specifications.
Carry out all other production-related tasks in the workshop.

Job requirements
Welding diploma (DEP) or equivalent experience required.
3 to 5 years of welding experience on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Proficient in GTAW (TIG) process and at least two semi-automatic processes (GMAW, FCAW, or MCAW).
Strong skills in blueprint reading and dimensional measurement.
Basic knowledge of metallurgy and manufacturing processes.
Hands-on experience with TIG and MIG welding.
Familiarity with CSA W47.1/W59, W47.2/W59.2, AWS D17.1 standards; NADCAP, ISO9001, AS9100 certifications are an asset.
Valid CWB certification is a plus.
