We are seeking a visionary and structured Director of Research and Development with recognized expertise in organic chemistry and solid experience managing laboratories in the CASE sector. Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing R&D and quality control activities while contributing to sustainable growth and strategic impact.
Tasks
Manage the overall operations of the Research, Development, and Quality Control department, including a team of chemists and technicians.
Lead the development and optimization of laboratory methods, with a focus on the efficiency of iterative research and innovation cycles.
Oversee the design, development, and scale-up of new formulations in organic chemistry.
Supervise, train, and support team members to align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Work closely with production, sales, and procurement departments to ensure the technical and commercial feasibility of projects.
Ensure regulatory compliance, laboratory safety, and the quality of operations.
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and foster continuous improvement, including ERP system management and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Perform any other related tasks associated with the role.

Job requirements
University degree in organic chemistry (required).
Additional training in management or administration is an asset.
Proven experience in managing R&D and quality control teams within the CASE industry.
Demonstrated ability to optimize iterative R&D and innovation processes.
Successful track record in a fast-growing company (+15–20% annual growth over several years).
Excellent command of French and English (for certain communications), both spoken and written.
