Our client, an organization recognized in the field of sustainable real estate development, is looking for a Director – Residential Project Development. Reporting to the Vice President, Project Development, the person in this role will be responsible for the complete management of residential developments, from design to delivery. They will play a key role in strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, and the overall success of the projects. This strategic role is aimed at a motivating leader capable of managing complex projects, ensuring their financial viability, and actively contributing to the growth of the organization.

Tasks

  • Plan, organize, and oversee all phases of residential projects (planning, design, construction, and delivery).
  • Develop residential development strategies aligned with the organization’s vision, market realities, and community needs.
  • Ensure the financial viability of projects: profitability analysis, budget management, and adherence to timelines.
  • Ensure that projects comply with legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
  • Negotiate with key partners: municipalities, developers, investors, financial institutions, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization in strategic matters related to housing and urban planning.
  • Manage relationships with professionals, financial partners, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure effective communication.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes in project management.
  • Participate in tenders and supplier selection.
  • Contribute to strategic development and the optimization of internal practices.
  • Perform any other tasks related to the position.

Job requirements

  • University degree in project management, engineering, urban planning, architecture, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in residential real estate development, including at least 3 years in team management.
  • Recognized expertise in residential project development (condominiums, rental, cooperative housing, etc.).
  • Excellent understanding of urban planning, construction, and sustainable development issues.
  • Strong skills in managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and the Office Suite.
