Our client, Maison St-Dominique, has exclusively retained us to recruit its next Executive Director.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will provide the strategic, organizational, and operational leadership of the organization. They will ensure the fulfillment of its mission, the sound management of human, financial, material, and real estate resources, as well as the implementation of the directions established by the Board of Directors. Maison St-Dominique works in the fields of mental health and social housing, supporting individuals living in vulnerable situations. Tasks
Leadership and Organizational Management
Oversee the overall management of the organization by supporting and guiding the leadership team and all staff members.
Foster a healthy, respectful, engaging, and collaborative work environment.
Ensure the implementation, application, and continuous improvement of organizational policies, procedures, and practices.
Oversight of Clinical Operations
In collaboration with the Clinical Coordinator, ensure the continuity, quality, and effectiveness of services provided.
Promote best practices in mental health and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain and develop strong relationships with partners across the network.
Oversight of Property Management
In collaboration with the property management team, ensure the maintenance, sustainability, and development of the organization's real estate portfolio.
Ensure compliance with reporting requirements established by funding partners, including the SHQ, the City, and other funders.
Oversee the management of rent supplement programs (PSL) and real estate projects carried out in partnership with community housing resource groups (GRTs).
Oversight of Finance and Administration
In collaboration with the Finance and Administration Coordinator, ensure the sound management of the organization's financial resources.
Monitor funding agreements, budget management, and the preparation of required accountability reports.
Communications and Representation
Represent the organization before various institutions, working groups, and community partners.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships that enhance the organization's visibility and influence.
Manage public relations and media communications as required.
Organizational Development
Identify funding opportunities and support the development of new initiatives.
Coordinate strategic planning exercises and contribute to the implementation of approved priorities.
Collaborate with the finance team in developing philanthropic and fundraising initiatives.
Governance
Maintain effective and proactive communication with the Board of Directors.
Implement strategic directions and policies approved by the Board.
Support the organization's democratic processes, including annual general meetings and member relations.

Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a team management role.
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
Strong leadership, management, and team coaching abilities.
Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
Ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships.
Strong understanding of governance principles and Board of Directors operations.
Experience in the community sector or within a non-profit organization (asset).
Knowledge of the social housing sector (asset).
Ability to maintain a regular presence across the organization's various service locations.
Occasional availability during evenings and weekends to participate in events, representation activities, or special meetings.
