Reporting to the General Manager and as a member of the executive committee, the Maintenance Director plays a strategic role in planning, organizing, and overseeing all mechanical, electrical, and engineering project maintenance activities within the plant. They are responsible for providing effective support to internal operations while adhering to budgets and health, safety, and environmental policies.
Tasks
Participate in developing the plant’s strategic plan and annual performance objectives.
Implement and maintain best practices in maintenance management (reliability, audits).
Manage the human and material resources required for:
o the maintenance and major repairs of assets;
o facility improvement projects (capital investments / CAPEX).
Oversee inventory management to optimize working capital.
Foster a strong health and safety culture as well as good manufacturing practices.
Actively participate in investment and continuous improvement projects.
Maintain cleanliness and order standards within the department.
Supervise, evaluate, and develop both direct and indirect team members.
Implement operational strategies within their area of responsibility.
Perform any other related tasks as required.

Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or related field.
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (mandatory).
5 to 7 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment (maintenance, engineering, operations).
Knowledge of the packaging sector (an asset).
Certification in continuous improvement (Lean, Green Belt, or equivalent) (an asset).
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
