Our client, a well-established and growing company, is looking for a Sales and Customer Service Director to play a key role within their team. Your leadership will be at the heart of the action! You will have the opportunity to take a hands-on approach, support your team daily, and contribute directly to sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Tasks

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate the sales team.
  • Support the team on the sales floor and assist sales representatives in achieving their goals.
  • Actively participate in the sales process and engage with customers when needed, particularly in complex situations or during contract negotiations and closings.
  • Conduct individual follow-ups, lead team meetings, and monitor team performance.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training new employees.
  • Prepare schedules and ensure efficient allocation of resources on the sales floor.
  • Track sales performance and implement strategies to achieve targets.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, pricing, margins, and policies.
  • Maintain the presentation, merchandising, and overall organization of the sales floor.
  • Oversee inventory management and contribute to improving stock turnover while minimizing losses.
  • Supervise store opening and closing procedures.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and assist in resolving complaints and challenging situations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper follow-up on deliveries, installations, and customer requests.
  • Make recommendations to management to optimize sales, inventory, and operations.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in team management, ideally in a sales or customer service environment.
  • Experience in team supervision, employee engagement, and team development.
  • Availability to work weekends during peak business periods, as required by operational needs.
  • Hands-on approach and ability to be present on the sales floor daily.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, autonomy, and initiative.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales objectives.
  • Ability to manage priorities and respond effectively to challenging situations.
  • Experience with performance management and inventory control, considered an asset.
  • Fluent in French with a good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, for communication with English-speaking customers (50% of the time). Functional English will also be considered.
