Our partner, a well-established family-owned business specializing in the sale, rental, and maintenance of forklifts, is seeking a Service Manager – Workshop and Equipment. Reporting to the General Management, you will be responsible for the full management of the mechanical workshop, technical staff, and the flow of incoming and outgoing equipment. This role places you at the heart of operations, with a direct impact on performance, customer satisfaction, and service quality.
Tasks
Lead and supervise the workshop technician team (3 employees): task assignment, job follow-up, problem-solving.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing equipment (repairs, sales, rentals, aerial platforms).
Take photos and document equipment (clients, new acquisitions, rented or sold units).
Inspect and prepare forklifts before delivery or rental.
Manage transportation logistics between the company, clients, and suppliers.
Organize deliveries, rental returns, and equipment transfers.
Ensure the general maintenance and smooth operation of the workshop, including waste material management.
Ensure compliance with structural inspections and CSA standards for specialized equipment.
Perform any other duties required for the position.

Job requirements
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role in workshop supervision or technical service management.
Relevant experience in managing a technical team and coordinating logistics.
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training.
Good command of basic computer tools (MS Office).
Education in logistics or operations management (DEP, AEC, or DEC) is an asset.
Knowledge of CSA standards or training in structural inspection of lift equipment is an asset.
Forklift certification or training in forklift operation is an asset.
