Tasks

  • Supervise a team of approximately 10 forklift operators.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of freight to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Conduct regular team and individual meetings to delegate responsibilities and assess performance.
  • Proactively address operational issues by making timely and effective decisions.
  • Support continuous process improvement to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide hands-on support to your team during peak periods.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse leads, QA, inventory, and senior management to resolve discrepancies or delays.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety, hygiene, and warehouse protocols.
  • Perform related tasks to support overall team performance and success.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the transportation industry.
  • Proven experience supervising teams in a dock or transport setting.
  • Hands-on experience operating electric forklifts or similar equipment is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
