Our client is a recognized player in the real estate and construction industry. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Maintenance and Procurement Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and excellence of corrective and preventive maintenance operations across the entire real estate portfolio. This role also includes managing the procurement supply chain related to technical services activities. The position requires a strong presence on the field, proactive team management, and a constant commitment to customer satisfaction.

Tasks

  • Supervise and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities in collaboration with technicians, the technical service coordinator, the procurement manager, and subcontractors.
  • Establish and maintain a structured preventive maintenance program for the short, medium, and long term.
  • Manage procurement and inventory in an efficient and sustainable manner.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, engaged, and autonomous team.
  • Actively participate in resolving service calls and ensure a presence on the field.
  • Handle disputed cases (dissatisfaction, defective repairs, recurring issues).
  • Manage the HR aspects of the team (hiring, evaluations, absences, disciplinary actions, etc.).
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to safety and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other divisions (maintenance, projects, IT, customer service) to optimize operations.
  • Contribute to the energy efficiency of buildings and the continuous improvement of processes.
  • Participate in the preparation and monitoring of the division’s budget.
  • Produce performance reports and propose solutions to optimize costs and reduce risks.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • University degree in engineering or a relevant field.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in maintenance and procurement management.
  • Strong technical skills in mechanical and building maintenance (plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain logistics (inventory management, procurement).
  • Good proficiency with computer tools (Internet, Office Suite, management software).
  • Valid driver’s license (travel in the Quebec City region is required).
  • Proven leadership, with the ability to motivate and effectively manage a team.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and task prioritization skills.
  • Customer-oriented with a proactive problem-solving ability.
  • Creativity, autonomy, and a strong sense of accountability.
